Recent projects
1: May, 2017. I worked in the city of Odesa supporting the UK Ministry of Defence working as an interpreter and personal assistant to the Commander of the group.
2: April, 2017. Interpreter for the Canadian Armed Forces in Kyiv region.

Translation experience

  I possess extensive experience and a solid record of accomplishment in the area of interpretation and translation. For the last six years I have led various multilingual and multinational project implementations in many international environments.

  I have worked hand in hand together with the UK army delivering military training to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Ukraine. Interpreter for the Canadian Armed Forces in Ukraine. Prior to this projects, I had worked on several Election Observation Missions in Ukraine as Long-Term Election Observers’ interpreter/administrative assistant for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. I have demonstrated success in managing these full project life cycles, as well as met all the necessary needs and requirements in order to deliver the best results and solutions for the organization. My previous positions gave me a deep insight of teamwork, intercultural management and conflict resolution. I extended and developed my communication and organizational skills as well as gained broad experience in cooperating with government officials and institutions, NGOs and international organizations.

  Throughout my professional career I have provided my service for EU, IOM, OSCE, various Translation agencies, private businesses and enterprises. I have worked in many cities around Ukraine such as Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Kamyanets-Podilskyi, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa and so on so I could incorporate my communication skills together with an excellent knowledge of the above areas to contribute to the success of any project, mission or task.

  I would like to include my professional background in reverse order as well so please see it below in this section:

November 2015 – Present. Military interpreter Thebigword Defence, Justice, and International Security Division: the UK Ministry of Defence (Leeds, the UK) • Provide simultaneous interpretation and translation of written documents from/to English, Ukrainian, and Russian for the UK Ministry of Defence.

• Work closely with the British army delivering military training on various sites throughout Ukraine.

• Accompany the British army and interpret during lessons, trainings, and meetings with the Ukrainian officers, commanders, and soldiers in both indoor and open environment. September 2015 – November 2015. Long-term Election Observers Administrative assistant/interpreter during the Local elections in Ukraine OSCE/ODIHR EOM (Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine) • Provide simultaneous interpretation from/to English to/from Ukrainian and Russian languages.

• Provide written translation from/to English to/from Ukrainian and Russian languages of various documents on a wide range of technical topics.

• Arrange various meetings with officials from local and regional election authorities, governors, mayors, local representatives of political parties, candidates, the media, and civil society. • Summarize, in English, election-related news published in Ukrainian.

• Assist the LTOs in identifying suitable staff for the short-term observers (STOs) and in locating suitable accommodation for STOs;

• Organize travels in the area of observation for the LTOs and accompany the LTOs on these travels;

• Keep lists of names, addresses and phone numbers of the LTOs' interlocutors.

September 2013 – Present. Managing director/interpreter/teacher Enjoy Language Centre (Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine)

• Manage general activities of the company and staff members.

• Conduct interviews and hire all the company staff.

• Manage the company budget to ensure proper control of expenditures.

• Prepare briefings, workshops, presentations, analyses and present them orally as required.

• Maintain a network of working relations with partners, schools, universities, NGOs to promote and advertise the company.

• Observe and appraise all teaching staff providing support and guidance on all aspects of lesson preparation and delivery.

• Hold weekly meetings with all the teachers to share teaching experience, discuss, and solve any possible issues.

Guide experience

   I have worked in many cities around Ukraine such as Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Kamyanets-Podilskyi, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa and so on so I had an opportunity to get to know not only whereabouts, but also the historical and cultural background of the above areas. I have worked as a Guide in the city of Kamyanets-Podilskyi where I accompanied delegations and international groups describing the history of the old town as well as the landmarks and other places and buildings in the city. I worked as a Guide in Odesa as well showing foreign groups around the city and its central part.
