Introducing OLGA
I’m a freelance Ukrainian interpreter/translator since 2013. As a freelancer I’ve been dealing with liaison interpreting
• business and technical negotiations (different subjects)
• accompanying foreign guests at exhibitions
• assisting people in private phone conversations; and translation of
• business, project, personal, technical documents
• correspondence
From 2011 to 2013 I’ve been working for the international company and dealing with
• arranging workshops and meetings (phone conversations, messaging)
• booking hotels
• coordinating transfers from/to the airport
• accompanying foreign experts on their visits to sites
• participation in the exhibitions
• interpreting meetings, workshops, training
• translating business and project documents, correspondence
Up to 2010 I was an employee of the international department of a big industrial company. During that period I performed the following functions:
• interpreting at the meetings, negotiations, workshops, during training and
jobs carried out on industrial sites
• participation in the international missions and projects
• accompanying foreign and Ukrainian citizens in tours round Ukraine and
abroad (solving problems with airline companies, checking-in/checking out,
coordinating programs implementation, keeping in touch with host parties
(phone/email), solving problems related to life conditions and health)
• translation of business and technical documentation, correspondence
Since recently I’m breaking new ground. Once after the meeting I interpreted at, people asked me just to accompany them and make tour round Kiev showing some popular places of interest and places unknown to them. We had a great fun and after that I started to explore new places in Kiev and in Ukraine with a bit of information related to them. Now I practice it with people who either don’t want to join organized groups visiting the most popular overcrowded historical places or don’t like to be overwhelmed with great number of figures, dates and facts. They prefer to feel themselves part of the city • taking public transportation • communicating with any person they’d like to talk with • eating not only and not so much Ukrainian food but in very special places • choosing most preferable places of interest • going to exciting entertainment facilities and events in Kiev • admiring street art: murals, sculptures and monuments • visiting art galleries with exhibitions of modern artists • listening to true-life stories which describe milestones in the development of our country. I work out a route based on people’s interests beforehand, but it still remains flexible. If time permits I could make an itinerary to visit other places and towns of your choice in Ukraine. It’s a good chance to get acquainted with new places and meet new people. I’m happy to share everything I know and love here with people!
