Odessa Philharmonic Theater deservedly belongs to the ten most interesting sights of the city because of its amazing architecture and its significance. The Philharmonic Theater is located in the historical center of Odessa.

The Philharmonic Theater, built in 1898 by the project of the outstanding architect A. Bernardazzi, is undoubtedly one of the best creations of the Master in his many years of career. It resembles the Ducal Palace in Venice. It was built in the Italian Gothic style with elements of Neo-Renaissance, which immediately became a new attraction of Odessa. The building of the Odessa Philharmonic is majestic and wonderful inside.

In the central hall of the Odessa Philharmonic, the wooden ceiling of the hall is made without a single nail of Lebanese gilded cedar. The walls of this hall are decorated with six panels of St. Petersburg artist Nikolai Karazin. The canvas depicts scenes from the life of various epochs of mankind, associated with trade, agriculture, industry and the history of trade relations in Russia. The concert hall for 1000 places in beauty and acoustic qualities is one of the best in Europe.

No less successful is architecture of the courtyard of the philharmonic, looking into which, you get in the era of the Italian Renaissance.

Odessa Regional Philharmonic takes a worthy place among the most significant concert organizations of Ukraine. Every year she acquaints her listeners with the works of the world musical culture, with bright creations of the modern Ukrainian and world music scene. Today the Orchestra of the Odessa Philharmonic is one of the strongest symphonic collectives in the country. Its leader - American conductor Hobart Earl - the only foreigner who received the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine.

The Philharmonic Theater is the main concert organization of the Odessa city. To preserve and develop the best traditions of musical culture - this is her Great Mission
